Listen, ask questions and verify information.
Establish follow up time.

Determine and recommend needed maintenance based on age, mileage and history of vehicle.
Do your homework; you're a professional.
Prepare a complete and accurate estimate of cost for labor and parts miscelanious fees and taxes.
Quality estimates provide quality information.
Engage customers to understand and approve recommended services and repair.
Communicate, ask and answer questions.
Verify the customer knows what and why you are recommending what you are recommending.
Monitor the progress of each vehicle throughout the day, and update customers frequently.
Do you like wondering if you have a ride home? Neither does anyone else so, communicate.
Verify that the final invoice reconciles with the work performed on the repair order.
