Responsibilities:
Receive outpatients in the morning from their owners in a safe and professional manner Walk, medicate and feed hospitalized patients in the morning Set up kennels for patients:
rack, blanket, litter box and a water bowl if permitted Properly apply ID tags and cage cards Make rounds periodically to monitor patients and maintain clean and sanitary kennels Collect urine/stool samples on outpatients as needed Perform any medicated bathes on patients as needed Assist with technician appointments Walk all outpatients and surgery patient's (if cleared by surgical staff) at 11:
00am Return patients to their owners once they have been dismissed Clean any kennels from patients that have left Perform patient restraint and assist team members as requested Wipe down, de-clutter and restock the treatment area throughout the morning Clean surgical instruments Complete any routine hospital cleaning/maintenance duties on schedule Preferred
Qualifications:
Previous experience in pet care or animal husbandry Strong animal handling skills, including the ability to safely restrain animals of various sizes and temperaments Experience with kennel operations and maintaining cleanliness in animal housing areas Note:
