Middle School Math Teacher

Cornerstone Learning Community (CLC) is seeking an experienced middle school math teacher to join its faculty full time for the 2015/2016 school year. With low staff turnover, this is a unique opportunity for an innovative educator to join a dynamic and professional team dedicated to empowering learners.

Responsibilities include:
Leading the middle school math program for all students, grades 6th - 8th.
Communicating regularly with students, parents, and colleagues.
Maintaining a high standard of instruction that aligns with International Baccalaureate (IB) MYP practices.
Reporting progress at the conclusion of each trimester.
Working closely with the IB team on day to day tasks as well as on field trips, service efforts, and subject integration projects.

Requirements include:
A bachelor's degree in a math related field.
Florida Educator Certificate in middle and/or high school math.
5
years of experience as a teacher, preferably in math.
IB training/experience valuable, but not required.
Qualified candidates will be invited to:
Tour the school.

Perform a model teaching.
Provide written materials as requested.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
