Leads the DHS effort in developing strategies to identify and inspect/assess key critical infrastructure through high level coordination with Federal, State, Local, Tribal, Territorial (FSLTT) executive level officials responsible for critical infrastructure protection. Serves as the principal advisor to executive level FSLTT and private sector officials on security and resilience policies, inspections/assessments, and measures to protect nationally and regionally significant critical infrastructure. Leads and develops complex, three-year-long, multi-sector Regional Resilience Assessment Program (RRAP) projects that examine physical and cyber resilience and inform long-term DHS, NPPD and IP strategic goals, as well as national policy. Leads the DHS effort to conduct complex inspections/assessments; investigate and identify dependencies, gaps, interdependencies, and vulnerabilities; and determine the cyber-physical nexus of critical infrastructure during planning and event execution for NSSE and SEAR events. Coordinates and collaborates with high-level FSLTT executives in response to, and recovery from, natural or man-made incidents, both physical and cyber, in accordance with the National Response Framework. Identifies and develops strategies for DHS training based on needs analysis. You qualify for the GS-13 grade level (starting salary $91,231.00) if you possess one year of specialized experience at the GS-12 grade level performing the following duties:
Analyzing security program interrelationships in order to lead or participate as a technical expert in study groups that resolve problems in existing and planned security systems; Utilizing analytical methods and techniques in order to implement and maintain information sharing and data analysis capabilities related to security procedures and practices; and Making presentations and preparing written reports to discuss technical issues. You qualify for the GS-14 grade level (starting salary $107,807) if you possess one of the following:
Analyzing new directives, legal initiatives, and/or guidelines concerned with security and resilience activities affecting critical infrastructure; Developing strategies, based on emerging threats, needs and gaps, and recommended development and improvement of local policies, procedures, and directives related to critical infrastructure protection programs to Federal, State, Local, Tribal, and Territorial (FSLTT) officials; Developing new security evaluation methods based on new policies; and implementing improvements and changes to national level strategic plans based on general policy and interaction with high level FSLTT and private sector officials. National Service Experience (i.e., volunteer experience):
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
