Provide course descriptions as necessary. Specialized Experience Requirement:
For the GS-11:
Applicants must have one year specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as:
1) assisting in the development and implementation of an organizational safety and risk management program; 2) coordinating and/or conducting safety/risk management training in the field or classroom setting; 3) organizing and/or leading accident investigations or after action reviews; 4) reviewing and implementing project job hazard analyses; OR, successfully completed a Ph.D. or equivalent Doctoral degree or three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M.in a related field of study; OR, an appropriate combination of specialized experience and graduate level education (beyond what is required for a Master's degree, i.e., more than 36 semester hours leading to a Ph.D.). The education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work with a major study in safety or occupational health fields (safety, occupational health, industrial hygiene)or degree in other related fields that included or was supplemented by at least 24 semester hours of study from among the following (or closely related) disciplines:
safety, occupational health, industrial hygiene, occupational medicine, toxicology, public health, mathematics, physics, chemistry, biological sciences, engineering, and industrial psychology. For the GS-12:
Applicants must have one year specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as:
1) providing technical guidance in the area of safety and occupational health; 2) evaluating safety operational procedures and programs and recommending changes; 3)analyzing unsafe conditions and operations and providing recommendations for abatements; 4) developing directing, and/or conducting safety training programs. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. TIME IN GRADE REQUIREMENT:
If you are a current federal employee in the General Schedule (GS) pay plan and applying for a promotion opportunity, you must meet time-in-grade (TIG) requirements of 52 weeks of service at the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression for the position being filled. This requirement must be met by the closing date of this announcement.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
