The Interstate Compact on the Placement of Children (ICPC) office is seeking a highly motivated and driven individual to fill a vacancy for an Interstate Compact on Adoption and Medical Assistance (ICAMA) specialist in a Full-time, OPS position.
The position is responsible for processing all new incoming and outgoing ICAMA requests, assisting the ICAMA Deputy Compact Administrator in providing technical assistance and training to ICAMA liaisons at Community Based Care agencies, providing administrative assistance to the ICPC office, and providing quality assurance in the processing of emails received by the ICPC email inbox.
The selected individual must work well independently with minimal supervision and provide excellent customer service.

Primary
Responsibilities:

  • Process all incoming and outgoing requests to transfer Medicaid for adopted children who have made an interstate move.
  • Provide Quality Assurance in the processing of the electronic mail box for the ICPC office.
  • Provide administrative support to the ICPC office including handling the following, but not limited to:
    managing incoming calls, purchasing, travel arrangements and requests, customer service, and scheduling.
  • Assist with the provision of ICAMA training and technical assistance for customers and stakeholders.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to work independently, problem-solve and exhibit critical thinking in all areas.
  • Ability to effectively communicate through both oral and written work.
  • Ability to establish and maintain professional and effective working relationships with stakeholders.
  • Ability to understand and apply relevant rules, regulations, policies and procedures related to ICAMA.
  • Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work assignments.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
