Working Title:
Education Curriculum Analyst

MINIMUM
Qualifications:

Bachelor s degree.

PREFERRED
Qualifications:

  • Master of Education, preferably in Public Administration, Curriculum and Instruction or related field.
  • Certified Public Manager (CPM) credential.
  • Child Welfare Experience, to include Florida s child welfare practice model (e.g. domains, danger, etc.), and child welfare training.
  • Data analysis experience.
  • Experience with child welfare training (e.g. Critical Child Care Safety Practice Expert (CCSPE)).
  • Instructional design and/or curriculum development experience.
  • Instructor-led training experience (e.g. classroom, online, or virtual).
  • Experience evaluating training or programs.
  • Project Management Experience.
  • Willingness to travel.

DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:

Analyze Department Curriculum Development, Design and Delivery

  • Communicate to the Education and Training Director how education and training is impacting workforce performance and the extent that educational outcomes are achieved.
  • Observe the work of frontline staff members and supervisors to assess if educational outcomes are impacting workforce performance and provide recommendations to improve training.
  • Assist with the creation and delivery of training and provide technical assistance to quality or operational staff when needed or requested under the direction of the Education and Training Director.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to conduct education and training reviews and prepare written reports and presentations.
  • Participate in or facilitate curriculum review committees with other program training managers or coordinators, to collaborate and identify training gaps across program areas.
  • Responsible for ensuring that consistent, high-quality training is developed throughout the Department and implemented to meet statutory and policy requirements; participates in the analysis, design, development, and facilitation of training efforts and integrates best practices; focuses on training programs that will increase the performance of individuals and various departments/units served; develops and implements organizational development services; coordinates programming for professional development; and evaluates and reports on program effectiveness.
  • Designs, develops, delivers, and evaluates training programs (including classroom, online courses, self-study, and blended learning opportunities) that meet the needs of the Department, supports, and aligns with the department's Business and Strategic Plan.
  • Coordinates training activities, schedules, and instructors for professional development programming.
  • Conduct educational research on best practices, policy issues, and other relevant topics
  • Facilitate annual review of curriculum and all associated lesson plans with program managers.
  • Participate in the design and testing of review instruments and review approaches.
  • Enter information using identified software such as Qualtrics and Smartsheets.
  • Participate in side-by-side reviews of education and training lessons with internal staff and external partners when assigned.
  • Participate in quarterly quality improvement events.
  • Participate as an education performance improvement team member.
  • Manage and assist with special projects and assignments to the Quality Office from leadership.
  • Design and create storyboards for the development of learning resources (online and classroom training).
  • Select instructional materials for statewide implementation and set expectations for which parts of the curriculum must be covered statewide.
  • Pilot courses and materials when appropriate to ensure necessary changes and revisions are made before statewide implementation.
  • Establish causes using standard needs analysis techniques (task analysis and focus groups) and determine appropriate instructional strategies to meet organization objectives.
  • Stay informed of trends in instructional methods and educational technology.
  • Develop and implements organizational development/performance analysis services, including assessments to determine measures to enhance employee and organizational performance and work with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to analyze performance and develop appropriate interventions.
  • Use data to monitor regional performance in meeting externally imposed standards or travel to monitor performance in classroom settings.
  • Mentor team members, trainers, and internal clients on best practices in curriculum and instructional design, storyboarding, and the use of standard templates for the production of course and training materials.

Administrator for Learning Management System (LMS)

  • Coordinate online, classroom, and blended training using the LMS with certified facilitator trainers.
  • Work with Education and Training Specialist (ETS) and program office training managers to coordinate when the curriculum needs to be updated, to ensure the training schedule outlines the latest training modules.
  • Demonstrated experience in curriculum writing, and integration of Technology in the curricula.
  • Research recommended and demonstrate the need or usefulness of new eLearning technology resources.
  • Assists program offices in the planning and development of pilot eLearning programs, evaluate results, and use the findings to establish new or modified eLearning programs.
  • Evaluate new software or applications for practical integration into the current eLearning system.
  • Assist with maintaining and updating the LMS repository with all training from program offices and hospitals statewide.
  • Support the team's PF-LMS Lead on related issues and questions by checking the training mailbox and addressing the needs therein.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Attends professional training forums, webinars, or conferences relative to curriculum design, effective facilitation, virtual learning.
  • Perform other duties as required

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Experience in education or training, instruction methods and instructional systems design.
  • Experience with adult learning theory.
  • Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Experience with Articulate Storyline or other content development tools.
  • Experience with Microsoft Business Analytics with Excel.
  • Self-driven and detail oriented.
  • Exceptional critical thinking skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills that include the ability to teach, coach and mentor workforce.

BACKGROUND SCREENING REQUIREMENT:

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
