00 Annually Anticipated Vacancy Overview:
The newly created Florida Gaming Control Commission (FGCC) is a five-member commission appointed by the Governor.
The FGCC is charged with investigating and enforcing Florida pari-mutuel and gaming statutes and rules.
Position Duties and
Responsibilities:
FGCC is seeking a dynamic Government Operations Consultant II to serve as FGCC's Property Administrator, Office Relocation Coordinator, and Contract Manager for a Department of Corrections, inmate labor agreement.
Working under the direction of the Chief of Purchasing and Contracts, the Government Operations Consultant's duties are as follow:
Developing and maintaining policies and procedures governing the operation of the FGCC Property Asset Program.
Disseminating and training FGCC's employees on policies and procedures relating to property assets.
Identifying and tagging property correctly and adding the required information into the Property Asset Management System Database.
Work cohesively with the Division of Administration accounting and purchasing staff to ensure all property is accounted for in both the FLAIR database and the Property Asset Management Database.
Managing and documenting appropriately all FGCC Surplus Property.
Serve as Contract Manager for a Department of Corrections inmate labor agreement to schedule inmate labor, oversee labor requested, and audit invoices upon receipt.
Assisting new employees and existing employees with assembly and disassembly of office equipment and furniture.
Working with purchasing staff to identify any necessary equipment and/or services to help facilitate office moves.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of the State of Florida's property asset management, surplus property, and general property policies and procedures.
Skill in operating personal computer software:
word processing, databases, spreadsheets, etc.
Ability to work independently; follow verbal and written instruction; work with users of varying technical expertise; communicate effectively verbally and in writing; operate a motor vehicle safely.
Ability to utilize Microsoft Suite, (i.
e.
word processing, spreadsheets, and databases).
Teamwork skills necessary to work within the unit.
Minimum
Qualifications:
High School Diploma and three years project management/facilitation experience related to program implementation, or program operational experience managing projects involving multiple divisions/bureaus/units relating to property asset management.
Two years of experience managing a project from beginning to completion.
Preferences:
Preference will be given to applicants with a Project Management Professional certification.
