JOB DescriptionThis position is responsible for problem-solving court data analysis and will serve as the mental health court, veterans court, and DUI court lead staff and subject matter expert for the Office of Problem-Solving Courts (OPSC).
Responsibilities include maintaining problem-solving court publications such as the problem-solving court booklet, A Guide to Transferring Florida's Problem-Solving Court Cases and the Florida Problem-Solving Courts Report.
Other duties include providing staff support to the Steering Committee on Problem-Solving Courts, preparing reports, responding to information/data requests, and providing additional project support as needed.
The position works independently, reporting major activities through periodic meetings with the assigned court operations consultant.
Examples of Work PerformedServe as lead staff to mental health courts, veterans courts, and DUI courts.
Maintain problem-solving court publications such as the problem-solving court booklet, A Guide to Transferring Florida's Problem-Solving Court Cases and the Florida Problem-Solving Courts Report.
Prepare reports, respond to information and data requests, and provide additional project support as needed.
Provide staff support to the Steering Committee on Problem-Solving Courts.
MINIMUM Education and Experience GuidelinesEducation:
Refers to job specific training and education that is recommended for entry into the position.
Additional relevant experience may substitute for the recommended educational level on a year-for-year basis.
Bachelor's degree in management information systems, statistics, social sciences, or a closely related field.
Experience:
Refers to the amount of related work experience that is recommended for entry into the position that would result in reasonable expectation that the person can perform the required tasks.
Additional relevant education may substitute for the recommended experience on a year-for-year basis, excluding supervisory experience.
Four years of related work experience.
Competencies/Knowledge, Skills, and abilitiesKnowledge of the Florida State Court System and an expertise in case processing for mental health courts, veterans courts, DUI courts, and other problem-solving courts.
Knowledge of and the ability to apply modern research techniques to project planning and the ability to guide complex analysis.
Proficiency in data collection methods, data analysis, and presentation of data results.
Ability to illustrate findings in a variety of formats such as charts and graphs.
Ability to organize, maintain, and update a variety of detailed and complex records.
Skillset to act as a project leader.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently and with a team.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
