DESCRIPTIONThis position falls under the Bureau of Education Data Center, Division of Technology and Innovation.
The bureau has a diverse set of technology platforms requiring system and application support.
An advanced level of skill is required for this position in one or more of the technologies and/or platforms.

Planning, scheduling, and implementation of work assignments pertaining to Database Administration.
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
Ability to interpret data models and to develop database structures.
Knowledge of current technologies developments/trends in area of expertise.
Ability to use standard diagramming techniques to design and develop computer data models.
Ability to develop and manipulate large, complex data sets.
Knowledge of accepted data base security, back-up and recovery procedures.

Familiar with installing database software, systems analysis and programming using structured programming techniques, data communications and Data Base Management Systems using SQL (Oracle, SQL Server, Azure).

This position will at times work outside the hours of 6:

00PM for after-hours work related to Server patching activities and Network maintenance windows, subject to management approval.

This position is located at our headquarter location at 325 West Gaines Street, Tallahassee, FL 32399.
Background Screening Requirements:
