email protected Employment is contigent upon sucessful completion of a background check This is a vacancy to be filled by an outgoing, self-motivated individual to serve as the Administrative Assistant for the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commissions Hunter Safety and Public Shooting Range Section.
DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
Courteously and respectfully assists Commission customers and stakeholders, ensuring each encounter is as positive as possible.
Promptly resolves questions or problems relating to the Commission, its programs and/or fish and wildlife resources.
Serves Floridas citizens in a positive and proactive manner and by listening to what the customer wants and striving to meet their needs.
Oversees the day-to-day operations of the office.
Answers telephone calls for the office.
Appropriately distributes incoming and outgoing mail.
Obtains needed specialty items, beyond standard office supplies, for this section through the proper purchasing channels.
Assists staff with special projects as directed.
Provides web updates for the hunter safety section on MyFWC.
com, and updates the Sections SharePoint site.
Processes purchase orders, invoices and payments for purchases made within the section.
Responsible for following the provisions and requirements in Section 215.
422, Florida Statutes, related to the Department of Financial Services rules and FWCs invoice processing and warrant distribution procedures.
Makes purchase order request and enters Agency Purchase Request (APR' s) for purchasing card transactions.
Processes instructor and volunteer certification forms and other various paperwork.
Compiles weekly training reports, monthly vehicle log reports, annual instructor points; assist with ordering and getting awards ready for distribution.
Assist in planning events, acquiring facilities, coordinating dates, time and location for section functions.
Assists the section leader in scheduling travel, meetings and training sessions.
Works across division lines by providing their skills and expertise wherever needed through working on teams or as directed.
Assist with other hunter safety programs, reports or related activities as directed by the section leader.
Completes assigned administrative duties by providing necessary information or work products to the section leader in a timely manner.
Performs additional related duties as they are required.
