The Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF) is the state of Florida's social services agency.
The agency oversees services for child safety, fostering, adoption, domestic violence, adult protective services, refugees, homelessness, mental health, substance abuse, childcare providers, human trafficking and public assistance.

In this position, you will serve as a member of the Executive Leadership Team and will be responsible for leading and overseeing the Office of Licensing, Quality and Innovation, and Office of Quality.
The Assistant Secretary will be a visionary leader, strategic thinker, and a goal- and outcome-oriented leader focused on service delivery, operational improvement, efficiency, stakeholder engagement, and innovation.
How you will make an impact:
Serve as key advisor to the Secretary and Deputy Secretary on Quality and Licensing issues.
Serve as a member of the department's executive leadership team and the Executive Performance and Budget Entity Team.
Ensure operations compliance with strategic plan objectives, performance measures, federal and state laws, rules and operational procedures.
Review and analyze performance reports and alerts the Secretary of pertinent performance issues.
Coordinate ongoing reviews and analysis of service delivery and management systems to ensure maximum efficiency and productivity.
Organize special planning team initiatives with program, region, administrative, information systems and performance staff to resolve critical issues.
Plan, direct, and coordinate projects, work assignments and services that require multi-functional participation, or that require coordination with program office and/or administrative services units.
Oversee compliance with operating budget allocations.
Review proposed budget allocation criteria and methodologies and on-going spending plan analysis.
Review, approve and coordinate policies, standards and procedures for delivery of services.
Coordinate work groups involving region or headquarters staff.
Ensure the implementation of service delivery programs, review problem areas and coordinate the implementation of solutions with the Deputy Secretary, other Assistant Secretaries.
Represent the Department with other agencies, associations, advocacy groups, provider organizations and other interest groups.
Qualifications:
Ten years of experience serving in an executive management role.
Experience managing large, layered teams.
Experience responding to inquiries from members of the media, the Florida Legislature, and other stakeholders.
Experience with performance management and process improvement techniques and tools.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is preferred.
Ability to travel overnight to conduct official business.

Computer - Knowledge of computer software including applications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
