Summary:
As a Program Manager on the Browser Engineering Team, you will play a pivotal role in leading and coordinating the development and execution of projects that drive the innovation and performance of our browser platform.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineers, UX/UI designers, QA testers, and product managers, to ensure timely delivery of high-quality browser features and updates.
Key
Responsibilities:
Project Leadership and Execution:
Lead the planning, scheduling, and execution of browser development projects from conception through deployment, ensuring projects meet quality standards, and deadlines.
Cross-functional Coordination:
Serve as the primary point of contact between the browser engineering team and other departments, facilitating communication and collaboration to align project objectives and timelines.
Resource Management:
Allocate resources effectively, including personnel and technology, to ensure projects are completed efficiently.
Monitor project progress and make adjustments as necessary to address challenges or changes in scope.
Risk Management:
Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact on project timelines and deliverables.
Process Improvement:
Continuously evaluate and improve project management processes and methodologies to enhance team productivity and product quality.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Communicate regularly with stakeholders, including senior management, product managers, and external partners, to provide updates on project status, milestones, and adjustments.
Technical Guidance:
Provide technical guidance and support to the engineering team, helping to resolve complex issues and ensuring best practices are followed in software development.
Market and User Research:
Stay informed about market trends, user feedback, and competitive products to inform strategic decisions about browser feature development and enhancements.
Qualifications:
Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field or a minimum of 5 years of experience with proven experience in program or project management within a technology environment, preferably with experience in browser technologies or related fields.
Strong leadership skills and experience managing cross-functional teams in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and work effectively with team members at all levels.
Knowledge of development methodologies (e.
g.
, Agile, Scrum) and project management tools (e.
g.
, JIRA, Asana).
Ability to think strategically and analytically, with a problem-solving mindset.
Familiarity with browser technology, web standards, and the competitive landscape is highly desirable.
QualificationsSalary Range:
$110,000.
