The Florida Department of Management Services (DMS) is a customer-oriented agency responsible for managing the various business and workforce-related functions of state government. Under the direction of Governor Ron DeSantis and DMS Executive Leadership Team, the agency oversees the real estate, procurement, human resources, group insurance, retirement, technology, private prisons, fleet, and federal property assistance programs utilized throughout Florida s state government. DMS is relied upon to establish, maintain and improve the business processes used by state employees to create a better, not bigger government. DMS facilitates the delivery of these programs and services and provides tools and training to bolster the efficiency and effectiveness of the state s workforce. This position reports to the Information Technology section, which provides computer and network support for a wide range of DMS business needs. The position calls for strong team involvement and an ability to collaborate and work effectively with other technicians, customers, and management.

Position
Responsibilities:

Experience with the following:
Active Directory; Azure; Microsoft 365; Exchange Online; Windows 10; Network Infrastructure; Mobile Device Management; Group Policy Management; Multi-factor authentication; DNS management; and DHCP management.

Preferred experience with the following:
Powershell; Intune; SCCM; and other operating systems.

Specific responsibilities of the Senior IT Analyst include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Lead or assist with new project implementation, planning, deployment, maintenance, and training.
  • Conduct cloud and on-premise environment audits. Reviews for security, functionality, and vendor configuration changes and present findings and recommendations for changes, if discovered to OIT leadership.
  • Assist with system administration tasks on multiple platforms as required.
  • Identify network problems and resolve in accordance with incident handling procedures and DMS policies.
  • Monitor network resources for performance and security anomalies.
  • Provide oversight and maintenance of agency Mobile Device Management (MDM), Mobile Application Management (MAM), Multi-factor authentication, and other security solutions.
  • Assist LAN and Desktop Support staff with technical isues and troubleshooting.
  • Assist LAN and Desktop Suport staff with developing and maintaining DMS networks and information systems documentation.
  • Configure and install desktop computer and network hardware and software.
  • Maintains all job-related information secure and confidential in order to protect workplace information and to assure compliance with confidentiality requirements. Enforces industry best practices regarding information security.
  • Perform other related work as assigned and required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of cloud-based architecture, network, workstation and function-specific device management in an enterprise environment (including enterprise management and reporting tools), change management processes, helpdesk support, network design, configuration, and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of enterprise level mass application and technology deployment tools and strategies.
  • Able to perform system administration tasks on servers performing various roles and functions.
  • Ability to interface with internal/external customers in order to provide information, explain procedures, answer questions and provide support.
  • Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment, learn rapidly and master diverse technologies and techniques.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, communication proficiency, time management, project planning, sound judgement, leadership, and strong organization skills.
  • Ability to give attention to detail, spot errors quickly and maintain focus when working on long tasks.
  • Ability to write accurate and complete technical documentation.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Standing, sitting, walking, balancing, lifting/carrying, pushing/pulling, bending/stooping/twisting, crouching/squatting, kneeling/crawling, and reaching. Exerting up to 20 pounds of force frequently.

Minimim Requirements:

  • A bachelor s degree in Computer Science or a related field from an accredited college or university. Professional computer support experience may be substituted for education.
  • Five years of work experience managing workstations, servers, and networks.
  • Five years of work experience supporting environments with 500
    users.
  • Two years of experience with Microsoft 365/Azure.
  • One year of experience with an MDM solution.
  • One year of experience with a multi-factor authentication solution.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
