ACCOUNTING SERVICES ANALYST A (Accounting Specialist)
Responsible for working with Agency financial and accounting records applying Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Monitors and reconciles revenue, disbursements, expenditures and other financial related activity ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Monitors and balances accounts and researches and resolves discrepancies.
Assists with grant application, and/or fund allocation and disbursement.
Compiles and analyzes financial data, prepares detailed financial reports and provides budget and/or accounting related recommendations to management for decision making process.
Assists with the preparation of financial statements.
Recommends changes to processes, policies and procedures.
May audit and process accounts payable and/or receivable and related paperwork in compliance with state and Agency policies and procedures.

- Accounting Principles - Ability to apply Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and Practices (GAAPP).

- Accounting Systems - Knowledge of accounting systems and practices.
- Bachelor's degree or a combination of post high school education and experience equal to four years.
