ACCOUNTING SERVICES ANALYST A (Accounting Specialist)

Responsible for working with Agency financial and accounting records applying Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Monitors and reconciles revenue, disbursements, expenditures and other financial related activity ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Monitors and balances accounts and researches and resolves discrepancies.
Assists with grant application, and/or fund allocation and disbursement.
Compiles and analyzes financial data, prepares detailed financial reports and provides budget and/or accounting related recommendations to management for decision making process.
Assists with the preparation of financial statements.
Recommends changes to processes, policies and procedures.
May audit and process accounts payable and/or receivable and related paperwork in compliance with state and Agency policies and procedures.

  • Accounting Systems - Knowledge of accounting systems and practices.
  • Bachelor's degree or a combination of post high school education and experience equal to four years.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
